Hi! I’m Alisen Howard, LCSW, and I am a therapist and service facilitator for both kids and adults through the CCS program in Columbia County at Seasons Counseling. I graduated from UW-Madison with a master’s degree in social work. Prior to working at Seasons Counseling, I worked for several years at Mayo Clinic in Rochester as a Medical Social Worker. I am currently in the process of becoming a certified Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) provider and a Certified Clinical Trauma Provider (CCTP-II). I enjoy meeting consumers where they are at and helping them identify the small steps they can take to reach their larger goals, as well as incorporating a mindfulness-based approach. I often utilize humor and enjoy seeing my consumer’s smiles as I believe the small joys can make a large impact. When not working I am spending time with my husband, child and fur-child, and enjoy activities in the woods (hiking and camping), on the water (kayaking and paddle boarding), or curled up with a good book, cozy blanket and some tea.
