Hello! I am Connie Champion, LPC, CSAC, and LSW at Seasons Counseling. I have completed my education in psychology, social work, addictions counseling, and have a Master's Degree in Mental Health Counseling. With extensive experience in the field, I have previously worked for the Department of Corrections for 19 years as a social worker and therapist and served as a Clinical Substance Use Therapist since 2015. My therapeutic approach emphasizes solution-focused techniques, client strengths, resources to create positive change, focusing on present and future concerns along with realistic counseling that emphasizes practical solutions and realistic expectations for change. I am trained in interventions such as anger management, communication skills, exploring coping patterns, grief counseling, mindfulness, structured problem solving, CBT and DBT. I specialize in crisis work, group therapy, relationship issues, substance use, and family therapy. Passionate about helping others, I also am a dedicated trainer in behavior management techniques. I provide therapy services in clinic, for Sauk County CCS, and have Telehealth options. When I am not helping others to be their best selves, you can find me swimming, hiking, SUP boarding, or enjoying quality family time, movies, and concerts.
